ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Bill Israel (Ph.D., University of Texas at Austin) is an assistant professor of Journalism and Political Communication and director of Graduate Communication Studies at St. Mary’s University in San Antonio, Texas. He has worked as reporter, editor, or photojournalist for a number of news media, including The New York Times, Dallas Morning News, San Francisco Chronicle and Examiner, CBS Radio and ABC-TV. He also worked as press secretary for politicians in Iowa, California, and Washington, D.C.
